An Experienced Guitarist with a Passion for Teaching

Francis O’Keefe is a self-taught guitarist known for his diverse skill set, undeniable talent, and passion for helping budding guitarists hone in on their craft.

With more than 15 years of professional teaching experience, Francis knows that hard work and passion are both key attributes of a great guitar player. This is reflected through the lessons that he delivers both effectively and efficiently. Francis and his team of qualified and vetted guitarists hold a wealth of knowledge in writing, performing, and studio work.

Francis O’keefe
Francis has been playing guitar for 25 years with 20 years of live experience. He's been a part of over 10 studio albums and has been in many Hard Rock, Rock, Acoustic, Alternative and Blues bands. Self-taught with a full understanding of music theory, he knows that hard work and passion are what make anyone great. With over 10 years of teaching experience, he is able to bring his knowledge to his students in an effective and efficient way.

Patrick Webb
Patrick has been playing guitar for nearly 25 years, with 8 years of teaching experience and 7 years of formal training. He has performed hundreds of shows across a range of styles including rock, metal, folk, punk, and progressive music, and is also a multi-instrumentalist working with vocals, bass, and keyboards. In 2024, he released a full album with his project Crimson Ash, which he wrote, recorded, performed, and produced from his home studio. He brings practical experience, strong musicianship, and a clear teaching approach to every lesson.

Bill Adams
Bill has over 20 years of experience playing electric and acoustic guitar. His love of music started at a young age and has always been guitar focused, playing rock, pop, metal, and folk. As a graduate of The Audio Recording Academy in Ottawa he has worked live music production at various venues in the city. In his spare time Bill composes, plays, and edits music out of his home project studio. He looks forward to helping improve your guitar skills while having fun.

Patrick has been playing guitar for over a decade and has developed a passion that he enjoys sharing with others. Self-taught with a solid grasp of music theory fundamentals, he understands how to help students of every level progress. While rock music is his focus, he is familiar with various other genres, such as blues, folk, pop, and more. Patrick has experience playing in bands and has performed in various venues around Ottawa. He is currently in an indie band, writing and recording music.

Nicholas Critch
Nicholas is a guitarist and teacher whose love for the instrument began early in life. Inspired by fingerstyle greats like Calum Graham and Andy McKee, he honed his craft under the mentorship of award-winning guitarist Shane Simpson. Known for his fingerstyle technique, Nicholas brings energy, enthusiasm, and a love of music to every lesson. In addition to guitar, he teaches bass and ukulele, helping students explore styles from pop and funk to classic rock and blues—all while keeping it fun.

Matt Lytle
Matt has been playing guitar for over 20 years, with teaching experience at the Ottawa Boys & Girls Club, School of Rock, and independently. As lead guitarist for award-winning cover band Karmacode, he has performed at major festivals and shared the stage with artists including Tom Cochrane and Randy Bachman. He brings a practical, student-focused approach to lessons across styles including rock, metal, folk, blues, and pop, helping students build real skills while enjoying the process.

Robert Magee
Robert is a recent graduate of Carleton University's music program with a background in jazz piano, and has performed across jazz projects and progressive metal. He is an accomplished pianist and fingerstyle guitarist with a sharp ear for detail. He brings a balance of precision and creative exploration to his teaching, helping students build technique while developing their own sound.

Mioara Mendonca
Mioara has been playing guitar since the age of fourteen and holds formal music training from Selkirk College of Music. As a multi-instrumentalist, she teaches guitar, piano, bass, and ukulele to students of all ages and skill levels. She takes a practical, student-focused approach built around strong fundamentals, technique, and musicianship — creating an environment that balances encouragement with steady progression.

Jhernie began playing guitar at the age of nine and went on to front several bands across rock, pop, and punk genres. He started teaching at a young age through his local church and brings a self-driven background rooted in fundamentals and performance experience. His approach focuses on keeping students engaged and genuinely connected to the music they're learning.
